This study of Isaiah 53 has renewed my awe and appreciation for what God, through Jesus, has done for me. Until the past 3 or 4 years, my knowledge and study of the Bible has always been very academic. I had book knowledge of these things. Now, though, I am able to absorb, internalize, and really understand the magnitude of what I read. This study of Isaiah 53 has definitely strengthened my faith, not necessarily through new insights, but by reminding me of the work Jesus did for me. The detail in which we studied all of this brings me overwhelming emotion and gratefulness for God’s sacrifice of His Son and for the agony Jesus suffered for my sin, so that I won’t ever have to suffer in the same way.
